Epidemic Sound Composer since 2009 | Eight Bits | Mo Stacks

March 28, 2023

I have many things to thank Epidemic Sound for, back when I started producing music for Epidemic in 2009 there was not as many musicians out there as it is today, times have really changed in 2023. I did many of my songs under the names Eight Bits, Mo Stacks and Stillness Speak.

About my contributions to Epidemic Sound:

When I began writing music for Epidemic Sound, I was experiencing financial difficulties and struggling to make ends meet. It was a challenging time for me until I was fortunate enough to come into contact with Peer Åström, who I believe is one of the founders of Epidemic Sound. Peer has an impressive track record of working on prominent international projects such as Glee, Madonna, and Celine Dion, to name a few. At the time, he was very supportive of my work and had faith in my abilities. His encouragement helped lay a solid foundation for my producing, which has served me well in my current work.

Over the past decade, my resume has grown in strength, with my music being featured on various digital platforms such as Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, and Spotify. I have also been fortunate enough to collaborate with numerous artists, resulting in several gold singles. Moreover, my music has been used for significant ad campaigns, including those for Volvo, Volkswagen, Xiaomi, Nike, and Coca Cola. With the aid of Epidemic Sound, I have also discovered that many of my tracks have been utilized by at least 34 prominent YouTube channels.

Overall, my journey has been incredibly interesting, and I am immensely grateful to Epidemic Sound and Peer Åström for their support. Thanks to their assistance, I am still able to make a living from my music, and I look forward to what the future holds.

About Epidemic Sound

Epidemic Sound is a Swedish-based music company that offers a unique approach to music licensing for video creators, filmmakers, and other media industries. Since its inception in 2009, Epidemic Sound has been transforming the music licensing industry by offering an innovative subscription-based model that allows users to access high-quality, royalty-free music without having to worry about licensing fees, complicated contracts, or copyright infringement.

Back in 2009, when the company was just starting out, the music industry was vastly different from what it is today. At that time, there were not as many musicians out there producing music as there are now, and the demand for high-quality, royalty-free music was not as significant as it is today. Epidemic Sound recognized this gap in the market and set out to provide a solution that would not only benefit music producers but also the media industry as a whole.

Over the past ten years, Epidemic Sound has played a key role in revolutionizing how royalty-free music is used in the media industry. The company has helped bridge the gap between royalty-free clients and royalty-based clients, allowing music producers to work with both and benefit from the unique opportunities that each client base provides.
