This time I composed the music for the the Volvo EC230 Electric excavator. It’s always great to be part of a project that represents innovation – and the EC230 has all of that and more.
The Volvo EC230
The EC230 is a 23-ton excavator that delivers the same performance as its conventional diesel counterpart, but with the added benefit of zero emissions, low noise, low vibrations, and better controllability. I was inspired by this to make music that would reflect that, with a ambient tune that feels smooth and relaxed.
The Volvo Services that support the EC230 are also impressive, with features like On-Board Weighing, Volvo Co-Pilot (Dig Assist), matched Volvo Attachments, Site Simulation, Fuel Efficiency Reports, Operator training, and ActiveCare 24/7 machine monitoring. All of these services are designed to optimize the efficiency and profitability of the EC230, making it a smart choice for construction companies.
But the EC230 is not just about performance – it’s also about operator comfort. The machine interfaces are ergonomically positioned and designed for optimum control and efficiency, with Bluetooth and hands-free functions that allow operators to connect to wireless functions. The EC230 also has windshield wipers, cameras, and an attachment management system, with full-size foldable guard rails and Volvo Smart View that create a more comfortable and efficient work environment.
