Television Composer
As a television composer, writing music for television and libraries can be a rewarding and exciting experience. Whether I’m creating a unique score for a specific TV show or producing music to be used in a library of stock tracks, there are a number of challenges and opportunities that come with this type of work.
One of the biggest challenges is often the tight deadlines. In the world of television, schedules are often very tight, with episodes being produced on a weekly basis. This means that as a composer, I need to be able to work quickly and efficiently in order to meet the deadlines and deliver high-quality music that fits the needs of the show.
At the same time, however, this fast-paced environment can also be quite invigorating. There’s a sense of excitement and urgency that comes with working on a TV show, and the pressure of the deadline can sometimes bring out my best work.
When it comes to creating music for a library of stock tracks, the challenges are a bit different. Here, I need to be able to create music that is versatile and can be used in a variety of different contexts. This requires a certain level of flexibility and creativity, as I need to be able to create music that can fit into different genres and moods.
At the same time, there’s also a sense of freedom that comes with creating music for a library. Unlike a TV show where I need to adhere to a specific style or tone, here I have more flexibility to explore different styles and genres. This can be a great opportunity to stretch my creative muscles and try new things.
Overall, writing music for television and libraries can be a challenging but rewarding experience. It requires a certain level of skill and adaptability, but for me, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of seeing my music come to life on the screen.
